How to set up your quiz to capture email addresses

Capture the emails of your quiz takers and integrate with your email marketing software

Step 1: From your Interact Dashboard click "Edit"

Step 2: Toggle lead generation to "On"

On the left sidebar, locate "Lead Generation" then toggle it to "On"

The left sidebar should look like this, if you aren't seeing this on the left sidebar, repeat steps 1 and 2 to get back here.

Step 3: Select Contact Fields

In the middle of the page, check the boxes for which form fields you want to ask for on the opt-in form for your quiz. You can also add custom fields by clicking the button that says "+ Add New Field."

We recommend asking for first name and email address so you can personalize your emails. Only ask for other fields if you are actively using them, as each additional field will lower the conversion rate of the form.

Note: If you are not seeing what is pictured below, make sure you have "Form" selected in the top middle of the page.

Step 4: Choose your Form Settings

We recommend you Enabled GDPR compliant consent checkbox on the opt-in form and Allow users to skip opt-in form. This is because in addition to the GDPR you will also get better quality leads if those who choose to opt-in have decided to do so because they want to.

You can make the opt-in required to see the quiz results if you choose.

Note: If you are not seeing the Form Settings, repeat step 3 to get back to what is pictured below.

Step 5: Edit Form Content

There are five important things on this step. For more details on this, have a doc specifically on quiz opt-in form copy.

  1. The opt-in form heading: Give people a reason to opt-in that is relevant to the quiz.

  2. The opt-in form sub-heading: Provide a secondary reason why someone would want to be on your email list

  3. Opt-in form consent text: Consult your legal provider to ensure you are giving proper warning of consent being given.

  4. Opt-in form CTA button: Let people know they are subscribing and will see their results

  5. Opt-in form Skip Button: Let people know they can skip this opt-in form step and still see their results right away

Step 6: Click "Save and Continue"

This will take you to the next step in the process and save your progress.
