How This Quiz Type Works
Before touching the builder, it helps to understand what branching logic is doing.
A branching logic quiz (also known as conditional or skip logic) dynamically changes the questions or results a quiz taker sees based on their previous answers.
In this specific setup, you’re using branching logic for one purpose:
One answer choice sends the quiz taker straight to a specific Result Page
All other answer choices continue through the normal question flow, then end in a calculated outcome
Use this approach when you want to:
End the quiz early for a specific selection (for example, “I already know what I need”)
Route a specific selection to a specific offer/result immediately
Keep the rest of the quiz personalized using your normal result correlations
⚠️ Important: When branching logic is enabled, the back button and progress bar aren’t available, and there isn’t a way to override that at this time.

Step 1: Plan Before You Build
Planning upfront makes branching logic dramatically easier to build (and easier to debug).
Decide on the following before you enable branching logic:
Your quiz paths
Write out the main “routes” a quiz taker can take (a simple flow chart or bullet list is enough).
For this setup, you typically have:
A “normal” path that continues through the quiz
A “direct-to-result” path that ends immediately when a specific answer choice is selected
Your questions and results
Before enabling branching logic, make sure you’ve created all required questions and results in the main quiz builder.
You should also set up your correlations before you map branching logic:
Create your Result Pages (including the result you’ll route to directly).
Add your Questions and Answer Choices.
Select Edit Result Correlations and match each answer choice with its corresponding result.
Click Save.
💡 Note: You can switch back and forth between the quiz builder and the branching logic builder at any time to add more questions as needed.
⚠️ Important Warning: If you begin mapping before your questions/results exist, you’ll have to keep stopping to go back and create missing items.
Step 2: Open The Quiz
Log in to your Interact dashboard.
Do one of the following:
To create a new quiz, from your Quiz Dashboard click + Create Quiz and select Start from scratch.
To edit an existing quiz, find the quiz you want to update and click Edit.
If you’re creating a new quiz, choose Personality Quiz.
Step 3: Enable Branching Logic
In the quiz builder, find Branching Logic.
Select Enable Logic.

You can return to the main builder to create more at any time by clicking Save Map & Go Back at the top right corner.
Step 5: Create your Branching Logic Map
This is where you build the quiz flow by connecting questions and results.
Drag your first question into the builder.
Connect it to the Start block using the connectors.
Set up the branching paths:
For standard answer choices → link to the next question.
For the specific answer choice → link directly to a Result Page.
When the quiz taker selects this answer, the quiz will immediately end and show them that specific result.
Continue mapping the remaining questions
Keep linking each answer choice to the next question until the last one.
For quiz takers who don’t choose a “direct-to-result” answer, map the last question to Calculated Result: Based on Correlation, so the system assigns the result that matches the answer choices the quiz taker selected most.
Click Save Map & Go Back.
Best practice:
Use the “direct-to-result” connection only where you truly want the quiz to end early, and keep the rest of the flow ending in Calculated Result: Based on Correlation so outcomes still reflect the answers someone selected.
💡 Note: Branching logic maps can get large, so zoom out on your browser in order to see the entire map within your screen.
