How to Embed a Quiz on Your Squarespace Website

This article describes how to embed an Interact quiz onto to your Squarespace website.

Written by Damaris Pacheco

This guide walks you through embedding an Interact quiz directly onto a Squarespace page using a Code Block. You’ll be able to:

  • Embed your quiz inline on a page

  • Control where the quiz appears on the page

  • Confirm the quiz loads correctly on your live site

Before you start

Make sure you have the following:

  • An active Interact account

  • At least one created quiz in Interact

  • Your quiz is published in Interact

  • Access to edit your Squarespace site

💡 Note: Squarespace embeds often won’t render inside the editor while you’re editing the page. You’ll usually need to Save and view the page live (or in preview) to confirm the quiz is showing.

Step 1. Get your Interact direct embed code

  1. Log in to Interact.

  2. Locate the quiz you want to embed.

  3. Click the Share tab.

  4. Click Embed.

  5. Click Copy code.

❗ Important: Always copy the embed code from the quiz’s Share tab (not from the browser address bar URL).

Step 2. Add the embed code to Squarespace

You’ll paste your Interact embed code into a Squarespace Code Block where you want the quiz to appear.

Embed on a Squarespace page using a Code Block

  1. Log in to Squarespace.

  2. From the left menu under Website, click Pages.

  3. Click the page you want to add the quiz to.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. On the new page, click on add section

  6. On the page that populates, click on Add a blank section.

  7. Click on Add Block

  8. Then click on the embed option

  9. Click on the pencil icon.

  10. Then, click on code snippet.

  11. Then click on embed data

Step 3. View the quiz on your live page

  1. Click Save in Squarespace.

  2. Open the page in a new tab to confirm the quiz loads.

💡 Tip: If you don’t see the quiz while editing, this is expected in many cases—check the saved/live version of the page.

Step 4. Test the embed

Confirm the quiz works end-to-end on your Squarespace page.

  1. Load the page where you embedded the quiz.

  2. Take the quiz as a visitor would.

  3. If your quiz includes an opt-in form, submit the form to confirm it appears and can be completed.

⚠️ Warning: If you’re testing an opt-in form, use a real email you can access so you can verify follow-up emails (if you have them enabled).

Step 5. Publish your Squarespace changes

Squarespace changes won’t be visible to visitors until they’re saved (and your site/page is publicly accessible).

  1. In the page editor, click Save.

  2. If your site is not public, make sure your Squarespace site settings allow visitors to access the page where the quiz is embedded.

❗ Important: If you embed the quiz but don’t Save, the quiz won’t appear for visitors.
