This guide walks you through embedding an Interact quiz as a pop-up on a Leadpages landing page.
You’ll be able to:
Add your quiz as a pop-up on a page
Control when the pop-up appears
Confirm the quiz loads correctly on your live site
Before you start
Make sure you have the following:
An active Interact account
At least one created quiz in Interact
Your quiz is published in Interact
Access to edit your Leadpages landing page
💡 Note: If you don’t see the pop-up immediately after adding the embed code, Save your changes and use Preview (or the published page) to confirm the pop-up is showing.
Step 1. Get your Interact Pop-Up Embed Code
Log in to Interact.
Locate the quiz you want to embed.
Click the Share & Embed tab.
Click Popup in the left sidebar.
Click the Javascript tab.
Under Activate the quiz to promote, toggle on Promote the popup (only 1 quiz pop-up can run at a time).
Customize your pop-up settings (for example, Timer Delay and Hiatus), then click Copy Code.
❗ Important: Always copy the embed code from the quiz’s Share & Embed tab (not from the browser address bar URL).
Step 2. Add the Pop-Up Code to Leadpages
You’ll paste your Interact pop-up embed code into Leadpages so it loads on the page.
Embed the quiz as a pop-up in your Leadpages page
Log in to Leadpages.
Open the landing page you want the quiz pop-up to appear on.
In the page editor, click Settings (gear icon).
Click the Analytics tab.
Find the script area labeled Immediately before the closing </body> tag.
Paste your Interact pop-up embed code into that box.
Click Save.
❗ Important: Pop-up embeds require the script in the footer. If you paste the code somewhere else (for example, a content block), the pop-up may not load.
Step 3. View the quiz on your live page
Click Save in Leadpages.
Click Preview (or view the published page) and confirm the pop-up displays based on your Interact settings (for example, after your timer delay).
💡 Tip: If you don’t see the pop-up while editing, this is expected in many cases; check the saved/preview version of the page.
Step 4. Test the Embed
Confirm the quiz works end-to-end on your Leadpages page.
Load the page where you embedded the pop-up.
Take the quiz as a visitor would.
If your quiz includes an opt-in form, submit the form to confirm it appears and can be completed.
⚠️ Warning: If you’re testing an opt-in form, use a real email you can access so you can verify follow-up emails (if you have them enabled).
Step 5. Publish your Leadpages changes
Leadpages changes won’t be visible to visitors until they’re published.
In the page editor, click Publish (or Update).
Open your live page URL and confirm the pop-up loads.
❗ Important: If you add the embed code but don’t Publish/Update the page, the pop-up won’t appear for visitors.
