Embed the quiz code to Showit site
Accessing your Showit Site
Step 1: Login to Showit site
Open the site you want to embed your quiz onto.
Step 2: Choose a design of your choice
Choose the design of the landing page. This is the page you will be embedding the quiz into.
Step 3: Click on the area of the page you want to embed the quiz.
Click on Advanced settings on the bottom right hand side to access additional options.
Step 4: Under Advanced settings, click on "Custom Head HTML"
This will open up a pop-up window where you can paste your HTML code.
Accessing your Quiz Embed Code
Step 1: Open your Interact dashboard and click “Share & Embed” on the quiz you want to add to the Showit landing page.
Step 2: Click on "Announcement bar" on the left sidebar
Click the “Javascript” tab
Step 3: Activate your Announcement bar
Toggle on the button for “Promote [Quiz Name] in the announcement bar.” You can have 1 quiz announcement bar running at a time.
Step 4: Customize your announcement bar with the desired options.
We recommend a "Timer Delay" of 5-10 seconds, meaning your web browser will see the announcement bar that many seconds after they get on your page.
We suggest a "Hiatus" of at least 10 days. This means once your browser sees the popup they won't see it again for that number of days when returning to your site.
Step 5: "Optional" You can create your own Announcement rules
These rules allow you to add the announcement to certain landing pages only
or to prevent them from popping up on certain landing pages.
This is not a required step, you can skip this step and move on to the next one if desired.
Step 6: Copy Announcement bar code
Once copied, head back over to the Showit site
Embed the quiz code to Showit site
Step 1: Paste the embed code into the Showit embed box
Once your code is inserted, be sure to Save.
Step 2: Click “Save.”
Preview your quiz on mobile and desktop to make sure everything functions as desired.
