This guide walks you through connecting Interact with Drip so quiz leads are automatically added as subscribers in your Drip account.
You’ll be able to:
Send quiz leads to Drip in real time
Add subscribers to a Drip campaign
Apply tags and update subscriber fields based on quiz results and answers
Send custom events to Drip for segmentation and automation
Before you start
Make sure you have the following:
An active Interact account
An active Drip account
Admin access to authorize OAuth connections in Drip
At least one created quiz in Interact
💡 Note: This feature is only available in the latest Interact user dashboard at app.tryinteract.com. Log in there to access it.
Step 1. Connect Drip integration
Log in to Interact.
From your dashboard, go to Quizzes.
Click Edit to open quiz builder.
Go to Lead Generation > Integrations.
Find Drip and click Connect.
When prompted, log in to Drip and click Authorize (or Allow) to grant access.
Select the Drip account you want to connect your quiz too.
You’ll see a confirmation once the connection is successful.
Step 2. Map quiz results to Drip
When someone completes your quiz, Interact can take different actions in Drip based on the quiz result they receive.
In the integration setup flow, go to the Results step.
You’ll see each quiz result listed separately.
For each quiz result, you can choose what happens in Drip by adding actions.
Available actions for Drip include:
Add to Campaign
Update Subscriber Field
Add Tag to contact
Update Custom Event
❗ Important: Each quiz result must have Add to Campaign set. If a result does not include an “Add to Campaign” action, other actions you add for that result may not run as expected.
Add subscribers to a Drip campaign
When someone completes your quiz, Interact can add them to a specific Drip campaign.
Click Add actions.
Find Add to Campaign.
Select the Drip campaign from the dropdown you want quiz leads added to.
💡 Tip: Many customers create one Constant Contact list per quiz to keep segmentation clean.
Update a Drip subscriber field
You can store the quiz result (or a custom value) directly on the Drip subscriber record.
Click Add actions.
Find Update Subscriber Field.
Select the Drip field you want to update.
The value defaults to the quiz result title, but can be customized if necessary.
This allows you to:
Segment subscribers by quiz result
Trigger Drip automations
Personalize email content dynamically
Add a tag to a Drip contact
You can apply Drip tags based on the quiz result a person receives.
Send a custom event to Drip
You can send a custom event to Drip when someone receives a specific quiz result.
Click Add actions.
Find Update Custom Event.
Choose the event name (and any available event options shown).
Step 3. Map quiz answers to Drip (optional)
In addition to quiz results, you can also send individual quiz answers to Drip and use them for segmentation and automation.
This works the same way as mapping quiz results, but instead of triggering actions based on the final result, actions are triggered based on how someone answers a specific question.
💡 Tip: Quiz answers are great for capturing preferences, intent, or qualifiers (for example: budget, experience level, or goals).
Step 4. Map opt‑in form fields to Drip
Next, connect your Interact opt‑in form fields to Drip subscriber fields.
Go to the Fields step in the setup flow.
You’ll see Interact fields on the left and Drip field mappings on the right.
Click the dropdown on the right of the form field you want to map (None Selected means it is not mapped).
Select the Drip field you want to map to.
⚠️ Default fields (cannot be changed) include Email and First Name.
Step 5. Send a test lead
Before your integration is fully active, you’ll need to send a test lead.
This step verifies the connection between Interact and Drip and activates the integration.
Click Send test lead.
Fill out all Opt-In Form fields to send as test lead information.
(Optional) Navigate to Quiz Data tab to customize test quiz data.
Click Send test lead to submit.
Log in to Drip and verify the subscriber was created successfully.
Step 6. Publish your quiz
Any changes you make to your integration won’t be live until your quiz is published.
Before sharing your quiz:
Click Publish in the top-right corner of the quiz editor.
Confirm your changes by clicking Publish changes.
Once published, your Drip integration will be active on the live version of your quiz.
⚠️ Remember: After making changes to your integration or opt-in form, publish all changes to update your live quiz.
Disable Drip integration for your quiz
If you want to stop sending leads from a specific quiz to Drip, you can disable the integration without disconnecting your Drip account.
Edit the quiz in Interact.
Go to Lead Generation > Integrations.
Navigate to Connect step.
Click Disable.
⚠️ Remember: After making changes to your integration or opt-in form, publish all changes to update your live quiz.
Once disabled, new quiz submissions from this quiz will no longer be sent to Drip. Your Drip account remains connected and other quizzes are unaffected.
❗ Important: After disconnecting an integration from your quiz, your opt-in form will remain disabled until a new or existing integration is connected. Select .csv File Download to keep your opt-in form enabled with no integration connected.
Disconnect your Drip account
Disconnecting your Drip account removes the authentication between Interact and Drip entirely. This is similar to uninstalling the integration.
❗ Important: After disconnecting your Drip integration, the following effects occur:
All Drip integrations across all quizzes will stop working.
No new quiz leads will be sent to Drip.
Existing subscribers in Drip are not removed.
If you reconnect Drip later, you’ll need to reconfigure the integration for each quiz.
