This guide walks you through adding a quiz link to a Wix button placed in your announcement bar/header area. You’ll be able to:
Add a button that links to your quiz
Control where the button appears on your site
Confirm the button opens the quiz correctly on your live site
Before you start
Make sure you have the following:
An active Interact account
At least one created quiz in Interact
Your quiz is published in Interact
Access to edit your Wix site
💡 Note: This method uses your quiz's Share Link rather than an embed code. When visitors click the button, they will be taken directly to your quiz.
Step 1. Get your Interact quiz link
Log in to Interact.
Locate the quiz you want to add to Wix.
Click Share.
Click Share Link.
Click Copy Link
❗ Important: Use the quiz link from Share & Embed → Share Link (not the browser address bar URL).
Step 2. Add the link to your Wix announcement bar button
You’ll create (or select) a button in Wix, then set the button link to your Interact quiz share link.
Add a button and link it to your quiz
Log in to Wix and open the site you want to edit.
Click Design site.
In the editor, click Add elements.
Click Button.
Select the button type/style you want to use in your announcement bar/header area.
Drag the button to the top header/announcement bar area and place it where you want it to appear.
Click the button to edit and design it.
Click the Link option.
Select Web Address.
Select New Window for how it opens.
Paste your Interact quiz share link into the field.
Click done.
Step 3. View the button on your live page
Click Preview in Wix.
Confirm the button appears where you placed it and looks correct on both desktop and mobile.
💡 Tip: If you don’t see your latest changes in the editor, Preview the site to confirm what visitors will see.
Step 4. Test the link
Confirm the button opens your quiz end-to-end.
In Wix Preview (or on your published site), click the button.
Confirm your Interact quiz loads.
Take the quiz as a visitor would.
⚠️ Warning: If your quiz isn’t published in Interact, visitors may not be able to access the version you expect.
Step 5. Publish your Wix changes
Wix changes won’t be visible to visitors until they’re published.
Click Publish in Wix.
Visit your live site and click the announcement bar button to confirm it opens the quiz correctly.
❗ Important: If you add the button but don’t Publish, the button and link won’t appear for visitors.

Make sure you clicked Publish in Wix. If you only edited in the designer, visitors won’t see the updated announcement bar button.
Do I need to update the link when I edit my quiz?
Usually, no. In most cases, you can keep the same share link, but you must publish your quiz changes in Interact for updates to appear to visitors.
How can I replace which quiz the button opens?
If you want a different quiz to open from the same button, swap the button link.
In Interact, open the new quiz you want to use.
Go to Share and copy the new Share Link.
In Wix, open your site editor.
Click the announcement bar button.
Click the link option and select Web Address.
Replace the existing link with the new quiz link, then click done and Publish.
