How to Embed your quiz into an Unbounce landing page

This article describes how to embed your Interact quiz into your Unbounce landing page.

Written by Damaris Pacheco

This guide walks you through embedding an Interact quiz directly onto an Unbounce landing page.

You’ll be able to:

  • Embed your quiz inline on a page

  • Control where the quiz appears on the page

  • Confirm the quiz loads correctly on your live site

Before you start

Make sure you have the following:

  • An active Interact account

  • At least one created quiz in Interact

  • Your quiz is published in Interact

  • Access to edit your Unbounce landing page

💡 Note: If you don’t see the quiz immediately after adding the embed code, Save your changes and use Preview (and/or Publish) to confirm the quiz is showing.

Step 1. Get your Interact Direct Embed Code

  1. Log in to Interact.

  2. Locate the quiz you want to embed.

  3. Click the Share & Embed tab

  4. Click the JavaScript tab.

  5. Under Embed Options:

    • Toggle on Auto-resize embed to fit quiz content

    • Toggle on Use custom embed size, then set the width to 1,500

  6. Click Copy Code.

❗ Important: Always copy the embed code from the quiz’s Share tab (not from the browser address bar URL).

Step 2. Add the Embed Code to Unbounce

You’ll paste your Interact embed code into Unbounce where you want the quiz to appear.

Embed on an Unbounce Landing Page.

  1. Log in to Unbounce.

  2. Open the landing page you want to add the quiz to.

  3. Click Start with this template to open the page in the builder.

  4. Click on the area of the page you want to embed the quiz, and add HTML custom code

  5. From the left-side toolbar, drag the Custom HTML widget onto the page where you want the quiz to appear.

  6. In the Custom HTML dialog, paste your Interact embed code.

  7. Click Save Code.

❗ Important: The Custom HTML widget is available in Unbounce’s Classic Builder. If you’re editing a page in a builder that doesn’t support Custom HTML widgets, you won’t be able to place an inline direct embed on the page using these steps.

Step 3. View the quiz on your live page

  1. Click Save in Unbounce.

  2. Click Preview and confirm the quiz loads.

💡 Tip: If you don’t see the quiz while editing, this is expected in many cases—check the saved/preview version of the page.

Step 4. Test the Embed

Confirm the quiz works end-to-end on your Unbounce page.

  1. Load the page where you embedded the quiz.

  2. Take the quiz as a visitor would.

  3. If your quiz includes an opt-in form, submit the form to confirm it appears and can be completed.

⚠️ Warning: If you’re testing an opt-in form, use a real email you can access so you can verify follow-up emails (if you have them enabled).

Step 5. Publish your Unbounce changes

Unbounce changes won’t be visible to visitors until they’re saved and your page is published.

  1. In the page builder, click Save.

  2. Click Publish (or Republish) so the embedded quiz is visible on the live page.

❗ Important: If you embed the quiz but don’t Publish/Republish, the quiz won’t appear for visitors.
