How to Connect Your Quiz to Google Sheets with Zapier

Use Zapier to send new quiz leads to a Google Sheets

Creating Google Sheet:

Step 1: Go to Google Sheets and create a new Blank Sheet.

Step 2: Name the Google Sheet the same title as the Quiz that you will be collecting leads from

  • Then add a column for each of the Contact Fields you will be collecting from your Quiz's Opt-in Form

  • Lastly, add a column for Quiz Result


Connecting your Quiz to Zapier

Step 1: Turn on "Lead Generation" on the Interact app builder's left sidebar.

  • To create your Opt-In Form, select the Contact Fields information you would like to collect from your quiz takers.

  • Under Form Settings, select additional settings for your Opt-in Form.

Step 2: Scroll down and customize your Opt-in Form. Then click "Save & Continue."

Step 3: Under Connect your email list, choose Zapier from the list of integrations.

Step 4: Here you will see your Interact API Key. Copy the API key, this is required for the next setup steps. You'll be pasting this API Key during your Zap setup.


Creating your Zap in Zapier

Step 1: Log in to your Zapier account and click " + Create" and then "Zaps."

Step 2: Choose Interact as the Trigger App.

Step 3: Select New Lead as the Interact Trigger.

Step 4: Under Account, select your Interact Account.

  • To connect your Interact Account to Zapier, select "+ Connect a new account"

  • Here you will Paste your Interact API Key and select "Yes, Continue to Interact"

Step 5: Then hit "Continue."

Step 6: Under Configure, select the quiz you would like to connect to and then hit Continue.

Step 7: Under Test, select "Test Trigger"

Step 8: Select Lead B and hit "Continue with selected record."

Step 9: Now for Action, select Google Sheets

Step 10: After selecting Google Sheets as the App:

  • Select "Create Spreadsheet Row" for Action Event

  • Then Add your Google Account

  • Finally hit "Continue."

Step 11: Under Configure:

  • Select "My Google Drive" under Drive

  • Select the Spreadsheet you created for the quiz under Spreadsheet

  • Under Worksheet, select Sheet1

  • Then Scroll Down

Step 12: After Scrolling Down under Configure:

  • Hit the + sign to add the matching field for Email, First Name and Last Name

  • Hit the + sign and select Tag: Interact Quiz Result for Quiz Result

  • Then Hit Continue

Step 13: Hit Test Step and then Publish the Zap


Completing Lead Generation on your Quiz

Step 1: After your Zap is Published, go back to your Quiz Dashboard and hit "Activate Connection" under API Key in Lead Generation.

Step 2: Test your Integration and then hit Publish on your quiz.
