How Scored (Tally) Quizzes Work

This article will demonstrate how to set up the scoring for each answer choice and score range for each quiz result on a Scored Quiz.

A scored quiz works based on a total score that a quiz taker gets as they go through a quiz. Every answer choice to every question has a point value associated with it, and the outcome of the quiz is based on the total point value that a quiz taker gets. 

There are two settings for scored quizzes, on the questions and on the results. 


Questions:
Step 1: First, click "Set Answer Scores" for a quiz question.

Step 2: Then, add a point value to each of the answer choices as you'd like for your quiz.

Results:


Step 3: Click "Result Settings" in the bottom right corner of the result page.

Step 4: Now set the score ranges you'd like for each of the results/outcomes.

​Step 5: Under "Display Score Text", you can choose if you would like to display the score value in the results for your quiz.

Tip: To show what the quiz taker received out of the total number of points on the quiz, you can customize the Score Text to say, "Out of 21, you scored."

Step 6: Then hit "Save."
