Quizzes have an overall average conversion rate of 40.8% meaning that 4 of 10 people who start quizzes opt in. That’s astronomically high, and this guide is meant to give you the recommendations you’ll need to write the opt-in form on your quiz so you can achieve a high conversion rate on your quiz.

Step 1. Enable the opt‑in form in the quiz builder
Log in to the Interact dashboard and click Edit to open the quiz
In the left sidebar, click Lead Generation and then hit Enable opt‑in form.
Step 2. Choose your opt‑in form fields
❗ Important: The Email field is required and can’t be removed.
Add a custom field (optional)

Step 4. Edit the opt‑in form copy (what users see)
To edit the text on your opt‑in form, click inside a text box on the form and type your updated copy.
Use these principles to improve opt‑in clarity (and reduce “surprise subscriptions”):
Main text (headline): Tell people their results are on the next page, whether they opt in or not. This builds trust and sets expectations.
Sub‑text (supporting line): Explain what they’ll get if they opt in, and make it specific to the quiz (for example: result‑based tips or resources).
Button copy (opt in): Make it explicit that clicking subscribes them (for example: “Subscribe + See My Results”).
Skip button copy: Make it explicit they’ll still get results if they skip (for example: “Skip this step – show me my results”).
Tip: Keep your opt‑in form short. The more fields you add, the more friction you introduce.
Step 5. Customize the opt‑in button (text and style)
Click the button on your opt‑in form.
Type directly in the button text to update it.
Use the button toolbar to adjust styling such as:
Button color
Text color
Shape
Width and size
If needed, reset the button back to its original dimensions.
Step 6. Connect an integration so the opt‑in form can collect leads
If your opt‑in form shows as inactive, you need to complete integration setup for lead capture.
❗ Important: If the opt‑in form is Inactive, it won’t collect leads until you complete an integration (or select .csv File Download).
In the opt‑in form editor, click the Integrations option (or click the lightning bolt icon).
Choose the integration you want to send leads to and complete the setup.
❗ Important: After disconnecting an integration from your quiz, your opt‑in form will remain disabled until a new or existing integration is connected. Select .csv File Download to keep your opt‑in form enabled with no integration connected.
Step 7. Publish your quiz
Any changes you make to your opt‑in form won’t be live until your quiz is published.
Click Publish in the top‑right corner of the quiz editor.
Confirm your changes by clicking Publish changes.
Once published, your opt‑in form will appear after the last quiz question, before users see their results.
